Hey there! I’m Sara. First and foremost, I am a mom (hence the title of the site). I am an avid macronutrient counter, and I love to talk about it. I also love working out and challenging my body. I have struggled with my weight for my entire life, but I didn’t have a good relationship with food until about two years ago. Now that I do, I want to share how and why I do it.
My life is hectic - but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I am a mom to a baby boy, wife to a firefighter with a crazy schedule, aunt to two perfect girls, full-time real estate agent in Maryland and freelance digital marketing specialist. I grew up in West Virginia and still travel back often to see my family, friends and use my season tickets to WVU football.
All of these things combined = little time for mental and physical health. So I maximize my time by counting macros, knowing exactly what I’m putting into my body and being super efficient in the gym and during at-home workouts. HOWEVER! I love to have fun, drink beer & eat good food. So I’m very flexible and try to follow the 80/20 rule. (80% of the time, I’m good. 20% of the time, anything goes.) So many of you have asked how I do it, so I figured I’d start a blog.
